The Renthal TwinRing Sprocket for Bonnell 805/902 combines the low weight of an aluminum sprocket with the long-wearing durability of a steel outer ring.
Designed around Renthal's dual-material TwinRing construction, the sprocket uses a lightweight 7075-T6 aluminum inner carrier bonded to a hardened, electroless nickel-plated steel outer ring for dependable performance in demanding off-road conditions.
Dual-Material TwinRing Construction
The steel outer ring is heated before being fitted to the aluminum inner carrier. As the outer ring cools, the two sections form a permanent mechanical bond. Additional fasteners help prevent lateral movement under heavy impacts.
This construction provides the wear resistance of steel where the chain contacts the sprocket while minimizing unnecessary rotating and unsprung weight through the aluminum center.
