Position Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Shopify E-commerce Specialist to manage all operational aspects of our online store. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of hands-on experience and a deep understanding of the Shopify platform, including its administration, day-to-day management, and technical maintenance. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation, continuous improvement, and growth of our online store, directly impacting our brand's success and customer experience.

The successful candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a strong blend of technical knowledge and business acumen. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire e-commerce ecosystem, from managing the product catalog and shipping profiles to analyzing performance data and implementing theme updates. You will have a lot on your plate and time management will be crucial for your success. If you’re looking for a boring cushy corporate job, this is not it.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shopify Store Management:

    • Manage the entire product catalog, including creating new products, updating existing listings, and organizing collections.

    • Oversee shipping profiles, tax settings, and payment gateways to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

    • Maintain accurate inventory synchronization and perform regular audits with Finale Inventory.

    • Install, manage, and evaluate third-party apps, ensuring they are configured correctly and enhance store functionality.

    • Develop and enforce change control processes for website and content updates, ensuring all established protocols are followed.

  • Integrations & Data Management:

    • Administer and optimize the Gorgias ticketing system, ensuring seamless integration and efficient workflows with Shopify.

    • Manage AI technologies within Gorgias to improve customer support efficiency and CX.

    • Manage SMS and Email technologies integrated with Shopify from 3rd party platforms.

    • Ensure data integrity and consistency across all connected platforms, including Shopify, Gorgias, and Finale Inventory.

  • Website Maintenance & Content:

    • Make edits to the Shopify theme using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

    • Ensure the store is fully responsive and optimized for all devices (desktop, tablet, and mobile).

    • Debug and troubleshoot front-end issues related to the theme and site functionality.

    • Publish and manage website content, including blog posts and landing pages.

  • Website Performance & SEO:

    • Monitor and optimize site performance, including page load speeds, to improve user experience.

    • Implement and maintain on-page SEO best practices (e.g., meta descriptions, alt text, structured data) to improve search rankings.

    • Manage redirects and other technical SEO aspects.

    • Design and perform A/B testing to optimize conversion rates and improve user experience.

  • Analytics & Reporting:

    • Utilize Shopify Analytics, Google Analytics, and other analytics platforms to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as traffic, conversion rates, and sales.

    • Generate monthly reports on website performance and user behavior, providing actionable insights to the team.

    • Implement and manage marketing tracking codes (e.g., Facebook Pixel, Google Ads).

    • Maintain strict tag management via Google Tag Manager or similar tools, ensuring accurate data collection and consistent implementation.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a Shopify Administrator, Webmaster, or a similar role.

  • Expert proficiency in Shopify's administrative panel and day-to-day operations.

  • Strong knowledge of e-commerce principles and business best practices.

  • Proven ability to manage and maintain a live e-commerce store.

  • Experience with theme editing and development using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools, including Shopify Analytics and Google Analytics.

  • Experience with Python and API data automations is desired.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

  • Outstanding attention to detail, time management, and strong communication skills.

  • Must work in our North Salt Lake office, this is not a remote position.
