Performance Upgrade:
WHAT IS IT?
- A piggy back reservoir shock specifically designed for lightweight E-Motos.
- Available in three sizes:
- 283 x 80mm for the E-Ride Pro 3.0 & SR, Surron Light Bee, Ventus One / Ventus One Plus, 79Bike Pro/GT, Zero XB

- 310 x 85mm for the Arctic Leopard EX700 & EX800
WHY DID TECH MAKE IT?
- To fill the gap in the market for lightweight e-motos and provide an upgrade that delivers performance and durability.
- To be paired with the E39 Fork and offer the perfect balance for lightweight E-Motos.
HOW DID TECH MAKE IT?
-
Tech combined their existing technologies from both the mountain bike and motorcycle sectors
-
A 30mm Piston and large diameter oil circuit improve sensitivity, reduce friction and provide better heat management
-
The shocks feature the CTS tuning technology from their mountain bike suspension range to increase adjustability of the shock beyond what competitors offer.
-
Internal floating piston design with double seals prevents oil and gas mixing. This ensures performance and increases durability.
- DU bushings offer secure, low friction mounting and long-lasting durability for demanding off-road use.
WHAT DOES IT DO?
Compared to the stock shock it provides:
- better support for off-road riding
- more sensitivity and grip from the rear end
- a wide range of tunability
- increased reliability and durability
Compression Tuning System (CTS)
The Compression Tuning System (CTS), developed by Formula & TECH Suspension is a set of easily interchangeable valves that let riders fine-tune compression damping to match their riding style.
CTS makes suspension tuning quick, simple, and completely reversible — no specialist tools or workshops required.
Simply remove the shock from the bike, release the pressure from the reservoir, and swap out the CTS valve.
This means e-moto riders can easily tune their shock for different types of riding - trail, motocross, technical enduro style or dirt jumps - without the need to visit a tuning specialist.
CTS provides the freedom to experiment with settings, while always offering a simple reset option if they want to return to their baseline setup.
The CTS system puts the benefit of TECH Suspension’s tuning expertise directly into your hands.
Available CTS Valves

Gold – Light Compression (optional, for smoother terrain)
Orange – Mid Compression (standard, factory-fitted)
Green – Firm Compression (optional, for aggressive riding)
As the curves in the graph show, the different valves provide unique damping profiles, from slower and softer to more reactive and stiffer.

Can I change the spring rate on my shock?
Yes, the available spring rates are:

We recommend that you have your spring changed by a professional mechanic.
How do I choose my spring rate?
Choose your spring rate based on your weight and riding style. Riders who ride aggressively on rough terrain and / or with big jumps should consider going up a spring rate. If in doubt, consult your local motorcycle shop or tuning specialist for help in setting up your shock for your weight and riding style.
How often does the shock need serviced?
As a general rule, we recommend the following procedures:
• check sag and air pressure - every month
• check piggyback reservoir pressure - every 3 months
• Oil change and complete inspection - once a year.
Please note this depends on the intensity of your riding and the conditions that you ride in. For example, if you are a racer or aggressive rider the interval decreases.
